Why I decided to take Japanese

Throughout my life, I have always been interested in Japanese culture, especially food!
In my senior year of high school, I researched the machiya, or traditional Japanese townhome and how Westernization changed the idea of the Japanese house completely. From this project, my interest in Japanese culture grew (as well as my interest in architecture) and thus I decided to take Japanese in college! I must admit that the language is sometimes challenging and takes awhile to get used to, but it has so far been a great experience!

わたしのあきやすみ!

あきやすみはたのしかったです。うちにかえりました。金曜日に七時半にかえりました。かぞくとごはんをたくさんたべました。スパクリンシダ（sparkling cider） をのみました。おいしいですよ！
土曜日に九時におきました。ともだちとあさごはんおたべました。オモレットとポテイトをたべました。よかったです！おかあさんとデパートにいきました。みせがたくさんあります。くつとトレーナーをかいました。
日曜日におてらにいきました。たくさんともだちにあいました。ちゅうごくのレストランかぞくとひるごはんをたべました。
月曜日にマリランドのだいがくにいきました。Stamp campus centerで こうこうのともだちにあいました。ともだちのdormをみました。おもしろかったです！
